Hello Readers,

We had to write 2 paragraphs for homework at school this year. Here is what I wrote. Can you guess what the subject is?

I collect postcards. I collect postcards because of the stamps. I also collect them because of the pictures. When I get postcards some of them tells you when somebody is coming.

I got a postcard from my Kindergarten teacher. I got a postcard from you (Mrs. Smithers). Most of all I like to write postcards to other people. I got a postcard from Denmark too.

The Best Obama Book and Book Signing

Hello Readers, Today we went to a book signing and I was very happy! There was a lot of people, there was a girl tugging at my leg. Nikki Grimes said that she wanted us to dream on. I had a book about BARACK OBAMA signed by Nikki Grimes and illustrator Bryan Collier. I asked, what made you want to write a book about Barack Obama? She paused for a few seconds and said, " Yes I love to write, it would be lots of publicity, and it would bring attention to my other books and writings. Once the research began, she began to like him, she began to understand his message, leaning more led to greater appreciation. Following his campaign ups and downs made my heart jump." The book was a "crash book." In December of 2007, the publisher contacted her and requested 3 weeks for research and writing, as opposed to the usual 3 to 4 months for book research alone. Math Test

Hello Readers, I have a Math test on Friday, February 13,2009 about congruent, similar figures, symmetry, flip, slide, turn. This is what I have learned: Congruent is a shape that is the same size and same shape. Similar figure is a figure that is a shape that is a smaller size of the same shape. Symmetry is a shape that you can fold in half and it looks the same on both sides. Flip is when a shape is flipped. Slide is when a shape moves but does not change shape. Turns is when a shape has a point that moves in any direction.
