Image
Hello Readers, This is my butterfly project. I learned a lot about butterflies. This is my report. The Life Cycle of the Butterfly The butterfly life cycle is 4 stages. The first stage is the egg. The mother butterfly lays one egg on each honeysuckle leaf. The honeysuckle leaf will be food for the baby caterpillars to eat. The egg cannot be seen because it is small and it is green like the leaf. The second stage is the caterpillar stage. The caterpillar eggs will hatch in about a week. The baby caterpillars will eat their leaves for food. After each meal they make a cradle of silk and go back to sleep. They grow fatter and fatter and began to burst out of the leaf. When they eat the honeysuckle leaf they will grow strong and become a butterfly. The third stage is the transformation stage. The caterpillar made a bed inside a leaf for the winter. The caterpillar sleeps for six months. The leaves are brown so the other animals do not see them. The fourth stage is the adult. In the spring
