Epiphany-Commonly known as Three Kings’ Day in the United States, is on January 6. It celebrates the three wise men’s visit to baby Jesus and also remembers his baptism, according to the Christian Bible’s events. The United States (US) Virgin Islands observe the day as a public holiday. Ash Wednesday-Some Christians in the United States attend special Ash Wednesday church services. This includes students who attend Catholic and other church schools. Priests usually place blessed ashes in form of the cross on individuals’ foreheads to remind them of mortality, sorrow for sins, change, and forgiveness. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lenten discipline for observant Christians. It is traditionally a time of fasting and prayer in preparation for receiving or reaffirming baptism at Easter. Wow, how exciting! Are you learning to read your feet, Aliyah! This is a great skill to have. I have heard that you can do the same thing for your hands.
ReplyDeleteFor example, once I had a bad cough that I couldn't seem to get rid of. So what I did was to rub my hand in the place (almost in the center of the palm) that maps on to my lungs. Do you know that each time I massaged my hand in this place (I think that it was my left hand that I massaged), my cough went away?!? How wonderful is _that_??? :-))))
